Fun book!

What a fun book!! This was my first Jana Aston story and I love her writing style & humor. I was halfway through reading when I saw who the narrators were & bought the audiobook to finish. Erin Mallon is always wonderful, but let me say, I would be a very happy girl if Jason Clarke did more of his narrations with a British accent. It was so good!!

Another brilliant read that I didn’t want to stop reading. Every time I read any of Jana’s books I always laugh & always have a smile on my face. Violet & Jennings were bloody brilliantly together. Their chemistry was off the charts and I love quirky and awkward Violet is. If you love a British guy who will melt your pantries when he talks or how he takes charge in the bedroom, then get one-clicking because this book is a Sure Thing. You will be sucked into this story right from the beginning, fall in love with the characters and not want to stop reading.

Sure Thing is a fun (and really funny) RomCom. When Violet decides to shake her life up, life shakes back and she finds herself getting more and more tangled up. I’m a sure thing,” I tell him with a small shrug while shifting my eyes away then back. “Are you?” The amusement on his face is clear. No. I’m not a sure thing. I’ve never been a sure thing. But I’ve never been Rose before either, so to hell with it——tonight I am." The story is at times laugh out loud funny, but still sweet and romantic. Violet is a fun and quirky heroine and Jana Aston gives us an awesome hero to swoon and fall in love with. "Do not let me down. You are my first one-night stand, don’t be my last. Don’t be the reason I give up entirely and take up knitting and invest in a vibrator collection."

I am a big fan of Jana Aston’s combination of sassy heroines, hot and tolerant heroes and actual plots that go somewhere. This book does not disappoint. It is right up there with her other hot, happening and humorous reads. The British-ness was the clotted cream on the scone. Loved it!

Sure Thing is an apt name for this book, because when it comes to being a proper bestseller, this book is most definitely a sure thing! Jana Aston never disappoints. This book is as hilarious as it is hot… and that’s saying something. The plot is intriguing, the writing extraordinary, and the characters outrageously compelling. These characters are larger than life, and they just draw you right into the story, and before you know it, you’re completely obsessed with their lives and relationships. The love story of Jennings and Violet is a beyond funny romp through the realm of romantic comedy… at its finest. Their inner monologues alone are worth the price of admission for this book. Throw in some incredibly witty banter and super steamy love scenes and you’ve got a bonafide hit on your hands. I loved every word of this book, and I’m hoping beyond hope that there is a sequel in the works that centers on Violet’s outrageous sister, Daisy. As far as this book is concerned, I absolutely cannot recommend it highly enough. Buy it now or you’ll be kicking yourself the next time that old romantic comedy itch yearns to be scratched. *I was given an ARC of this book and voluntarily chose to review. 5 Brilliant stars for Violet and Jennings!

Jana Aston should be quite chuffed with herself at how brilliant this book is! Violet and Jennings just secured the top spot for my favorite Jana couple. Okay, where to start? I always love to read Jana's books because I know they're going to be funny and full of witty banter and have me shaking my head at the antics that occur. But they also tell a great story each and every time. This one centers around Rose, no wait Daisy, no that's not right, it's Violet... well you'll understand once you start reading. How many times have you heard of someone using a fake name on their night out, hoping to score with a hottie for a couple of hours. Perhaps you've even done this yourself. Either way, why use your real name when you're never going to see them again, right? Poor Violet, she's been through a ton of crap recently, and she deserves to have a little fun. Always the rule follower, always the serious one, but where has that gotten her? Not where she would like to be, that's for sure. So when she sets her sights on a guy in the bar, she decides, why not? She's already gotten herself in one situation to help her sister, why not just keep going? And when the hottie opens his mouth and out comes a delicious British accent? Twin win! Well, the best laid plans often go awry, and Violet finds herself leading a weeklong tour in her sister's place. And guess who is one of the tourists signed up for this week of fun? Yep, you guessed it - her one night stand. Better known as Jennings Anderson, the British hottie. What follows is a delightful story of how Violet tries to keep all the plates spinning in the air. Can she successfully make everyone believe that she's her sister, and turn her one night stand into a week of pleasure, and fend off the bus driver that knows her sister in the biblical sense, and keep her hope alive that she'll finally find a job after six months of no luck? Whew! I almost ran out of breath on that... Jennings is every girl's dream! Well, he's mine anyway, with his British accent and gorgeousness, and his proper British mannerisms. And it was super sweet that he's on this tour with his Nan, that made me swoon. But Jennings hasn't exactly been completely honest or forthcoming with Violet either, so watching these two spend their week together, obviously falling for each other but not really knowing the true person they were falling for? I couldn't wait to see how Jana resolved that! This was a very entertaining, feel good book. I laughed quite a lot, I rooted for these two hard, that this would turn out to be more than just a one night stand, or just a weeklong fling. I was impressed with Jana's use of a lot of British colloquialisms and laughed at Violet trying to use them while talking with Jennings. I was smirking right alongside him and I could see exactly why he was so enamored with Violet. As I said in the beginning, this book and these two characters have quickly become my favorite of all of Jana's. Brilliant story!
